About Me
Hello, I'm Soo, a London-based fashion designer with a strong foundation in tailoring, garment construction, and multi-product design. My experience spans across research, concept development, CAD, fittings, and production communication, giving me a clear understanding of how ideas translate from concept to final product.
I'm currently working as a Design and Creative Assistant at Richard James where I led the design and installation of a window display inspired by the latest striped shirting collection and worked closely with the bespoke tailoring team from initial fittings through to final finishing. This hands-on experience has strengthened my technical knowledge of pattern alteration, canvas construction, and hand-sewn detailing, grounded in Savile Row craftsmanship.
Previously working in luxury retail at Thom Browne and Max Mara, I developed strong commercial awareness and an understanding of client-focused design.
Alongside my industry experience, I founded and directed a print lifestyle brand, leading creative direction, branding, and product development from concept to launch.
I combine technical precision with creative clarity, designing with structure, intention, and commercial awareness.
My Values
Customer/User Focus
The foundation of every design decision starts with understanding the customer and their needs.
Attention to Detail
The smallest details make the biggest difference.
Constant Learning
Constantly learning new skills, techniques and trends.
My Interests
Running
Running helps me reset. When my thoughts are cluttered, a few kilometres bring clarity to my mind. I love the sense of achievement after each run and how it energises the rest of my day.
Vintage Hunting
I'm drawn to objects with history. A worn jacket or a well made chair tells its story through small details. It makes me appreciate design that lasts and carries meaning over time.
Photography
Photography is part of my everyday life. I love capturing small moments as they happen, whether it's something ordinary in my day or a special memory I want to hold onto. It's less about perfection and more about preserving feelings, experiences, and the little details that make each day unique.
Philosophy and Self Reflection
I'm interested in understanding myself more deeply. Reading and reflecting help me make sense of my own thoughts, patterns, and values. It's a personal practice that keeps me grounded and self aware.
