From independent studios to global brands, designing with structure, clarity and subtle detail.
Initiated and led the complete design and delivery of the window installation for Richard James. Inspired by the latest striped shirting collection, the installation was crafted from layered French-seamed silk organza in varying tones and transparencies, translating garment detailing into a spatial experience.
I worked closely with the bespoke tailoring team, supporting garments from initial fittings through to final finishing. This experience strengthened my technical understanding of pattern alteration, canvas construction, and hand sewn detailing. Through hands on involvement in the bespoke process, I developed a strong appreciation for precision, proportion, and the luxury menswear standards, building a solid foundation in traditional Savile Row craftsmanship.
I won the Paul Smith Menswear Competition as first-place by designing a collection of six outfits with the theme of Britishness for the Japanese market. As a result of winning the competition, I received fabric sponsorship and an internship opportunity.
During my internship at Paul Smith, I contributed to the Spring/Summer collection themed "Paul's Trip to Cassis" by designing socks, shirts, jerseys, and jackets.
"To the Unconscious World" consolidates a psychological perspective with fashion, focusing on deconstructed tailoring details. Inspired by my own experiences with insomnia and dreams, I explored the unconscious mind through extensive research on psychology and the surrealism movement. My work includes experimental material use and innovative print designs, resulting in unique silhouettes. This project was honoured with the Most Innovative Design Award and also got showcased at Graduate Fashion Week.
I launched a successful crowdfunding campaign and developed a versatile 3-way bag. Drawing on my experience as a designer and pattern maker, I handled every aspect of the product, from design to manufacturing. Using natural materials, I created a functional yet stylish product that exceeded its funding goal, securing 188% of the target. This achievement highlights my ability to align product design with market trends and consumer preferences.
